Recently, a musician friend encouraged me to connect with Joao Brandi. After a couple of messages between us, Joao told me about an upcoming gig, which I attended. His band Vooltoo played at a venue in Sacramento on a Sunday night. I was surprised at first to see how big the crowd was for the first of 3 bands. Propelled by Joao’s outstanding guitar playing, the trio packed non-stop excitement into a 30 minute set. The crowd was immediately swept into the energy of the band and by the end were yelling for more. It was one of the most entertaining evenings I’ve had in quite awhile. I look forward to seeing them again soon.
